Minnesota Christmas Bird Count References

CBC REFERENCE PAGE
Intended for CBC research and reference, access has been made available to original documents obtained from CBC-related publications published by either Audubon, or the MOU. Special permission has been granted by each entity to display scanned documents of original publications for CBC reference and research.

Reference Maps of each known Minnesota CBC location are available for general use by participants.

The Index of CBC articles pertaining to Minnesota includes the publication reference for each CBC season for which CBC-related articles appear. In addition, links to scanned original pages from those indexed publications exist.

Annual Reports from The Loon, or one of the Audubon publications are available. These articles do not include lists of raw data published.

ORIGINAL REPORTS REQUESTED!

A very unfortunate event occurred some time ago when original CBC reports housed at the MOU library in the Bell Museum of Natural History were either lost or destroyed. These reports included original results from individual CBC compilers. What is most unfortunate about this incident is that during some years no summary table of CBC results was ever reported in The Loon.

In an attempt to replenish lost documents and preserve Minnesota CBC history please consider sending photocopies of original CBC results to the Minnesota Ornithologist's Union, or the MOU CBC compiler.
